Enjoy brews, blues and barbecue

11th annual event planned for June 19 in Stevenson

The 11th annual Brews, Blues & Bar-B-Que, hosted by the Skamania County Chamber of Commerce, will be held June 19 at the Port Waterfront Park in Stevenson.

Festival hours are from noon to 8 p.m.

Microbreweries from all over the Northwest will be offering mugs and tastes of some of their handcrafted beers.

Joining in will be Stevenson's own Walking Man Brewery and Public House, whose pale ale "Homo Erectus" won the People's Choice Award at the Spring Beer and Wine Festival in Portland for two years in a row.

Kona Brewing will also make a trip to the mainland to share its brews.

Wine enthusiasts can enjoy a selection of fine wines from Wind River Cellars and Maryhill Winery.

Complement the variety of beers and wine with barbecued offerings from local restaurants.

Live music starts at noon with Norman Sylvester, followed by the Strangetones from 3:30 to 7 p.m.
