Report for Washington State Patrol



A Vancouver man was not injured when he was involved in a one-vehicle accident on June 15, 2004.

The accident occurred at approximately 1:45 a.m. at milepost 64 on State Route 14.

According to the report, Robert D. Wilcox, 62, Vancouver, was driving a commercial combination vehicle westbound on SR 14 when the driver fell asleep. The vehicle crossed the westbound shoulder, striking a rock embankment. The vehicle, a 1993 International cab-over, came to rest blocking the westbound lanes for approximately four hours.

The driver was cited for negligent driving and placed out of service for logbook violations.
