Library district holds fourth annual teen battle of the bands

Seven bands will be chosen

Fort Vancouver Regional Library District is hosting the 4th annual Teen Battle of the Bands Contest on March 26 from 7 to 11 p.m. at the Skamania County Parks and Recreation Center in Stevenson.

To be eligible to compete, each band must have at least two teen members ages 12-19 who live in, are homeschooled in, or attend school in Clark, Klickitat, Skamania or Cowlitz counties.

To compete, each band must complete an entry form available at any Fort Vancouver Regional Library District branch library. An audio or video demo tape or CD that includes two original songs must be attached to each entry form.

Entries must be received no later than 6 p.m. on Friday, March 12.

Seven bands will be chosen from the entries to compete in the battle of the Bands. The grand prize will be 100 copies of the winning band's CD including jewel case and printing on the label, donated by contest cosponsor Nettleingham Audio in Vancouver.

Admission to the March 26 event is free with a library card. Refreshments will be available.
