anomalies play at library

Concert hosted by teen board

Teens, ages 12-19, are invited to hear the anomalies perform at the White Salmon Valley Community Library on Tuesday, May 11, at 7 p.m.

The event is hosted by the library's Young Adult Advisory Board (YAAB). Refreshments will be provided. Admission is free with your Fort Vancouver Regional Library card.

Band members Bennie Clack, Danny Guerrero, Alex Kelly, Ben Mahaffey and Dane Ueland are all juniors at Columbia High School in White Salmon. Although the band has been together for less than a year, it has won first place in two recent regional music competitions: the 2004 Portland Exposure Battle of the Bands at the Roseland Theater in February; and the 2004 Fort Vancouver Regional Library Battle of the Bands at Stevenson in March.

The anomalies band members write all their own music and lyrics and perform with Clack, on guitar; Guerrero, on bass; Kelly, on drums; Mahaffery on keyboard; and Ueland, on guitar and vocals.
