White Salmon Valley Community Library will host its first English practice conversation circle sessions beginning Thursday, June 10.
The sessions are free and open to the public, and should be of particular interest to non-native speakers interested in improving their English conversation skills. No registration is required -- just drop in any Thursday!
Participants have a choice of a morning session from 9:30-11 a.m., or an evening session from 7-8:30 p.m.
All sessions will be held in the library's Sprint/Baker Gallery on Thursdays throughout the program's ten-week schedule, which ends August 12.
Volunteers who will help run the program have recently been trained by the Clark College Adult Literacy Program.
The conversation circles are part of Fort Vancouver Regional Library District's "Everyday English @ Your Library" program, made possible by a federal grant administered through the Washington State Library's "Serving Cultural Diversity" initiative.
