A 40-year-old Goldendale woman was transported to Southwest Washington Medical Center in Vancouver with facial lacerations, following a one vehicle accident on Oct. 8, 2004.
The accident occurred at 12:03 a.m. on State Route 14 near milepost 24.5.
According to the report, Carla K. McEwen was driving her 1976 Chevy Blazer westbound on SR 14, exiting a curve to the left. The vehicle crossed the center line into the eastbound land, hitting a rock on the south shoulder.
The driver was cited for driving too fast for conditions.
She was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
Wayne A. Rafferty, 52, Nine Mill Falls, was not injured in his one-vehicle accident on Oct. 8, 2004. The accident occurred at approximately 6:30 p.m. on SR 14, six miles east of Biggs' Junction.
According to the report, Rafferty was driving a Federal Express semi with two box trailers westbound on SR 14. A strong gust of wind pushed the second trailer onto its side. The trailer was empty at the time.
Rafferty was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the accident.
