Betwixt and between describes fall in Trout Lake Valley -- frantically cleaning up this year's garden -- still picking tomatoes to ripen on the window sill -- running inside to get out of the rain and start on the winter's reading list -- only to realize the sun is out again! Achingly beautiful!

Labors of the summer are wrapped up and plans for next summer begun. The Trout Lake Arts Council meets monthly to develop ideas for the upcoming 10th Festival of the Arts. The council urges anyone who is interested to come to the next meeting which will be on Nov. 16 at 7 p.m. in the school community room. There is a lot of room for creative expression in the development of the plans. A particular need at this point in time is for people who are good at writing and would enjoy a chance to write newspaper and magazine articles. Call Laurie Sherburne, Mike Holman, Camden McMahon, Mara Muhl, Doug Anderson, Dean or Rosie Hostetter, Jim Bull, or any of the people you know to be involved in the festival if you'd like more information -- better yet -- plan on coming to the meeting.
