The last event of the day was a public fashion show in which the participants modeled all of their projects. Style Revue was a pre-fair, state-qualifying event. The contestants from the Aug. 12 event will also be displaying their construction projects at the Klickitat County Fair. All intermediates and seniors who won blue ribbons or better in construction or fashion revue will be eligible to participate in the Western Washington State Fair in Puyallup in September.

We would like to send out get well wishes to a couple of friends and neighbors who are feeling under the weather. We hope Ginger Burton and Dennis Humphrey are feeling better real soon.

Twenty-four kids and several adults from the Glenwood area attended church camp at beautiful Camp Morrow between July 31 and Aug. 7. The young people had a great time tubing on the lake, playing on the waterslides, practicing their archery skills, riding horses and participating in more activities too numerous to mention. Word is that the boats put on over 600 miles during the camp, so there must have been a lot of waterlogged kids. It sounds like everyone had a wonderful time.

Remember the All-School Reunion coming up Sept. 3 and 4. If you've got classmates from out of town that you haven't seen in ages, why not call them up and invite them to this special get-together. Scheduled events for the reunion include a catered BBQ dinner at the school on Sept. 3 at 7 p.m. A potluck brunch is planned at 11 a.m. on Sept. 4 at the school. Meat, an egg dish and drinks will be furnished by the reunion committee. Guests are asked to bring muffins, fruit, salads, or desserts to the brunch. Costs for the meals are $15 each for the BBQ and $5 each for the brunch. Please make reservations as soon as possible with Kay Carr, PO Box 91, Glenwood, Wash. 98619.

Time for the Klickitat County Fair is rapidly approaching. The Glenwood 4-H Market Stock Committee is once again seeking donations from community members to support the Glenwood-area kids at the 4-H market sale at the fair. Interested donors may pledge their support by contacting Margaret Throop at 364-3350, Harry Miller at 364-3427 or Roxie Clemmer at 364-3539. In the past the Glenwood community has been very supportive of our kids on sale day, and their donations are very much appreciated. Many of the kids count on money from their 4-H livestock projects to help fund their college educations -- so this is a very worthwhile fundraiser.
