Open auditions for CAST's fall production of The Fourth Wall by A. R.Gurney will be held Aug. 24 and 25 at Immanuel Lutheran Church between 6:30 and 9 p.m.
The church is located at 9th and Sherman in Hood River.
The play comically explores our place in the world today as Gurney sharpens his wit on cola wars, politics, audiences who attend plays and the theaters potential for enabling people to connect.
Characters include two men and two women. The two women and one of the men need to be able to play as late 40's - early to mid 50's, and the other man should play as late 20's -early to mid 30's.
Although they don't have to be accomplished singers, all four have to sing onstage at one point or another during the show and need to be able to carry a tune.
Rehearsals will start in early September and six performances are scheduled in late October at Mosier School.
Richard Parker who has been active in CAST in many capacities for the past several years will direct the show.
Auditions will consist of readings from the script and no advance preparation is needed. Everybody is welcome to participate in the audition process, including those that are just curious about what is involved in Community Theater.
There is also the need for off stage help and anyone interested in doing so may also attend.
