Christina M. Portner became the bride of Steve Langeliers on Saturday, July 30, 2005.
The bride is the daughter of Dennis and Laurie Portner, White Salmon. She graduated in 1992 from Columbia High School and in 1999 from Central Washington University with a bachelor's degree in education.
The groom is the son of Rita Langeliers, Weatherford, Texas, and Ronald Langeliers, Bend, Ore. He graduated from Mt. View High School in Bend, Ore., in 1987 and in 1992 from Oregon State University with a bachelor's degree in economics.
More than 250 family and friends attended the ceremony held at the Empress Palace in Woodland. Pastor Rob Neuschwanders performed the ceremony.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Angela Portner, sister of the bride, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Shelly Arnsmeier, cousin of the bride, Lora Wyllie, sister of the groom, and Heidi Struck and Crystal Just. Junior bridesmaids were Taylor Arnsmeier and Aliy Gregory. Flower girls were Zoe Arnsmeier and Alexa Langeliers, daughter of the groom.
Best man was Chris Gregory. Groomsmen were Todd Reid, Russ Schel, Scott Heim, Doug Elliot, and Zack Gregory. Ringbearers were Shea Langeliers, son of the groom, and Conner Wyllie. Ushers were Damiean Sylvester, Bob Arnsmeier and Matt Siemens.
Immediately following the ceremony, a dinner with dancing followed.
The couple honeymooned in Cancun, Mexico, and are now at home in Vancouver.
