Lady Grizzlies finish the season with loss to North Central

SPOKANE - The Sunnyside Lady Grizzlies ended their season last night with a heart breaking loss to the North Central Indians. After traveling four hours to the Spokane-area school, the Lady Grizzlies took awhile to warm up on the court and didn't get their heads into the Regional tournament game until the second half, finally losing to North Central by two points.

Williams' celebrate 50th anniversary

Long-time Mabton residents Earl and Erma (Anderson) Williams celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, Jan. 8, 2005, at their home. The couple was surrounded by family for the momentous event.

Monroe-Braman to wed June 25th

The Sunnyside United Methodist Church will be the setting of the marriage ceremony of Kacy Jo Monroe and Glenn Braman, both of Sunnyside. The wedding will be Saturday, June 25, at 4 p.m.

Music program at Artz-Fox ends

MABTON - The students of Artz-Fox Elementary School will not be having music class for the rest of the year. The Mabton School Board, behind the urging of Superintendent Sandra Pasiero-Davis, approved two contracts Tuesday night, which will eliminate the music program for the rest of the year.

GRANDVIEW - Grandview City Council members voted Tuesday night to write off more than $239,000 in uncollectible debts. The official action erased the outstanding accounts from the city's ledger, but caused council members some heart burn.
