Stevenson chamber hosts brews, blues

Annual festival begins at noon on Saturday

The Stevenson Business Association and the Skamania County Chamber of Commerce hosts the 12th annual Brews, Blues & Bar-B-Que on Saturday, June 18.

Festival hours are from 12 noon to 8 p.m.

The festivities will take place at the Port Waterfront Park overlooking the Columbia River in Stevenson.

Microbreweries from all over the Northwest will be offering mugs and tastes of their handcrafted beers. Joining in the fun will be Stevenson's own Walking Man Brewery and Public House, which recently won gold, silver and bronze in the 2005 North American Beer Awards.

Kona Brewing will make a trip to the mainland to share its brews plus there will be selected beers from Sierra Nevada Brewing Company, Full Sail Brewing, Deschutes, Grants, Dick's Brewery, Salmon Creek Brewery, Stone Brewing, Mendocino Brewing Company, Red Hook, and Widmer.

Wine enthusiasts can enjoy a selection of fine wines by local favorites Maryhill Winery and Wind River Cellars.

Danceable live music starts at noon with blues band Lloyd Jones Struggle followed up by the Rose City Kings playing from 4-7 p.m.

Complement the variety of beers and wine with delicious barbequed offerings from local favorites Dolce-Skamania Lodge, Walking Man Brewery and Public House, Mr. Oinks BBQ Express, and Boneyard BBQ from The Dalles.

Tune up your taste buds for southern style BBQ ribs, Mississippi pork sandwiches, barbequed chicken or salmon, BBQ turkey drumsticks or beef brisket, bratwurst beer dogs, and MORE!
