Murray buckles goes to hometown cowboy

Glenwood's Casey Arnold turns in top all-around performance at 71st Ketchum Kalf Rodeo

Hometown cowboy Casey Arnold won the Tye Murray Memorial Buckle as the top all-around contestant during last weekend's 71st Ketchum Kalf Rodeo in Glenwood.

Arnold placed second in tie-down roping and partnered with Trevor Scott of Vancouver for a second-place finish in the team roping competition.

Arnold's sister, Shayne, won the breakaway roping event, posting a time of 2.75 seconds during Saturday's program.

Lexi Cameron of Centerville received the Shawna Roberson Memorial Buckle with a winning run Sunday in junior barrel racing.

Other winners included: Mike Thiele, Goldendale, cow milking; Mason Stafford, Prineville, Ore., bareback; Joe Irzyk, Moro, Ore., steer wrestling; Cody Campbell, Summerville, Ore., bull riding; Viki Friedrich, Salkum, barrels; and Jaye Kuebler, Eugene, Ore., and Larry Goss, Redmond, Ore., team roping.
