On March 14, Whitson Elementary will hold a "Parent Night" for the incoming 2005-2006 kindergarten students.
Information on the kindergarten program and registration will be available. Teachers and staff support will share information about next year's program.
Children age 5 and older by Sept. 1, 2005, are eligible for kindergarten.
Parents will be able to completely register their child for the 2004-2005 kindergarten program.
Parents will also be able to meet school staff, learn about the curriculum, transportation and other information.
To register their child, parents need to bring a birth certificate, immunization record and child's photograph.
Immunizations required for entering kindergarten students include: DTP (four-to-five doses), polio (three doses), MMR (two doses) and hepatitis B (three doses).
