Spring is here, First Fridays begin

Something new introduced this year -- guided tour

Spring is here and First Friday in Hood River is ready to celebrate art, music and community.

Come to downtown Hood River April 1 beginning at 5 p.m., and join in the fun and festivities. Artists working in diverse media are on hand to showcase and sell their art, and a variety of performers entertain throughout the downtown area.

Introducing something new this year: "Art, Walk, Talk: A Guided Tour with Artists."

Each month, a guest curator will guide a tour to meet three artists whose work will be set up in three different host businesses. However, the group will be limited by the space allowed at each artist's hosting location.

The tour will begin at the Columbia Art Gallery at 6 p.m. with guest curator Judie Hanel, executive director of Columbia Arts.
