Death notices for Lillian Landgren and Bobbie Vieira


91-year-old Lillian Marie Landgren died in Hood River, Ore., on Nov. 16, 2005. She was born in Clearwater County, Minn., on Aug. 28, 1914, to Tom and Ellen (Bardwell) Torgerson.

On Oct. 6, 1937, she married Verne Landgren in Cavalier, N.D. The family lived in Leonard, Minn., working on farms, until 1968 at which time they settled in Bingen.

Mrs. Landgren loved hunting, fishing and camping. She also liked flowers. Mrs. Landgren's family was dear to her heart and she enjoyed visiting relatives, and especially treasured time spent with her grandchildren.

Mrs. Landgren is survived by her husband, Verne, Bingen; son Dave Landgren, Baltimore, Md.; daughters Judy Trisko, Sauk Centre, Minn. and Joan Ferrante, Miami, Fla.; and two grandchildren.

A funeral service was held at 1 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 18, 2005, at Gardner Chapel in White Salmon, with interment following at the White Salmon Cemetery.

On Nov. 14, 2005, 71-year-old Bobbie Lou Vieira died in White Salmon. She was born in Glenwood Springs, Colo., on July 10, 1934, to Grace (Evans) and Cecil Draper.

Mrs. Vieira moved to the Gorge area in 1975. Her great hobby and love was quilting. She was an accomplished quilter and taught the craft to many. She was also a loving mother and grandmother.

Surviving Mrs. Vieira are her husband, George, White Salmon; children Chris Vieira, White Salmon, Greg Vieira, Parkdale, Lisa Cavanagh, Portland, Matt Vieira, Parkdale; grandchildren Kristin, Maggie, Joe, Cody, Colten and Kalen; sisters Sally Ruggles, White Salmon, Jo Dean Hansen, Idaho Falls, Idaho; aunt Frankie Evans, Underwood, and uncle Robert D. Evans, Idaho Falls.

The Vieira family will hold a private family gathering in their home and a public memorial will be held at a later date.

Memorials may be made to the Infusion Center in care of Providence Hood River Memorial Hospital Foundation.
