4-H club wins herdsmanship

School started Aug. 30 and is in full swing. There is a volleyball game in Trout Lake on Thursday, Sept. 8, at 5:45 p.m. The game is Trout Lake-Glenwood versus Columbia High varsity and JV.

Congratulations to Mt. Adams Community 4-H Club which won the overall herdsmanship at Klickitat County Fair. Clubs involved in herdsmanship were beef, horse, sheep, swine and rabbit. Great job you guys!

The next community 4-H meeting is September 21 at 7 p.m. at the Glenwood School.

Primary elections will be at the Glenwood School on Sept. 20 from 7 to 8 p.m.

All of the animal project 4-Hers would like to thank the market stock sale contributors for their continued support.

On Aug. 23, at 8:30 in the morning, Tyler James Ransier was born at Southwest Washington Medical Center in Vancouver. He weighed 7 pounds 10 ounces and was 20 inches long. Tyler is at home with his big brother Jothan and his mom and dad, Niki Leiter and Robert Ransier. Grandparents are Cindy Kempton, McMinnville; Rick Leiter, Glenwood; and Bill and Louise Ransier, White Salmon. Congratulations to all of you.

A memorial service for Eloise Daniels will be Sept. 10 at 1 p.m. at the Glenwood Community Church with a dinner following at the Glenwood School.

Bo-Deen Harris and Casey Arnold will be united in marriage on Sept. 9 in Zillah. Congratulations to both of you. Have a wonderful life together.
