County considers application for wine tasting room

Cellars is in Lyle

The Klickitat County Planning Department is considering a "conditional use application" for the purpose of operating a wine tasting room at the site of Cor Cellars, LLC. The property is located at 151 Old Lyle Highway near Lyle.

The applicant is Cor Cellars, represented by Luke Bradford of Lyle.

The application requests approval for "one-half acre of new cultivation of wine grapes (after the fact) and conversion of an existing shop into a winery and wine tasting room."

Any comments received will be entered into the record of any public hearings that may be held prior to taking action on the application. Comments received prior to Jan. 26 will be incorporated into the staff review.

The proposal is tentatively scheduled for a public hearing before the Klickitat County Board of Adjustment on Feb. 6.
