The Columbia Gorge Discovery Center welcomes Chris Tolotti of Wildlife Rescue of the Gorge on July 28 at 1 p.m. for "Winged Wonders."
See falcons, owls and hawks up close and personal while learning about the medical and natural history of each raptor, the Migratory Bird Treaty Act, and a bit about the Wildlife Rescue of the Gorge.
Founded in 1998, the Wildlife Rescue of the Gorge assists wildlife in need in the region. The program treats sick or injured animals, releases wildlife back into its natural habitat if possible, and provides education regarding wildlife conflicts.
"It's a delight to have Chris bring her live birds back to the Discovery Center," said Linda Turner of the U.S. Forest Service. "Her first hand knowledge of the birds in her care gives the audience helpful information in understanding the bird's habitat needs. This program is great for the whole family."
