Glenwood is gearing up for this Father's Day weekend's 72nd running of the Ketchum Kalf Rodeo.
The Northwest Professional Rodeo Association event will feature rodeo action on Saturday and Sunday, starting at 1 p.m. both days.
At the conclusion of Sunday's show, the cowboy with the most money won (including in at least one rough stock event) will receive the H.L. "Tye" Murray Memorial Jacket.
General admission to the Glenwood Rodeo Grounds is $7 per day for everyone 13 and older, $2 for everyone 12 and under.
Other events on the program include Junior Open Barrel Racing (with the winner taking home the Shawna Roberson Memorial Buckle), Open Jackpot Team Roping (starting about a half hour after Saturday's rodeo show and benefitting Goldendale High School's rodeo team), and stick horse, hat and bedroll races for kids.
Entertainment on Saturday and Sunday (prior to the rodeo show) will be provided by the Clarkettes Rodeo Drill Team.
Also on Sunday, the popular Cowboy Breakfast will be served from 6:30-10 a.m. at the Glenwood School. That will be followed at "11 sharp" by the Rodeo Parade through downtown Glenwood to the rodeo grounds.
