Firemen To Serve Dinner March 18

Be sure to mark Saturday, March 18, on your calendar for another great Glenwood Fire Department Dinner. The all-you-can-eat turkey dinner with all the fixins' will be served from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the school. Price of admission is only $7 for adults and $4 for those under 12. Proceeds from the dinner will go to purchase equipment for the new fire hall, so plan to support this fund raiser and enjoy a delicious dinner.

The Glenwood Rodeo Association is gearing up for the 72nd Ketchum Kalf Rodeo over Father's Day weekend. Election of officers and board of directors were held at the Jan. 22 meeting. Keith Kreps will serve as president for 2006, Charles Allen as vice president, and Roxie Clemmer as secretary and treasurer. The Board of Directors will consist of Charles Allen, Oop Burgin, Roxie Clemmer, Keith Kreps, Jerry Ladiges, Harry Miller, Bubs Murray, Jason Throop and Mike Woodward. Kethcum Kalf Queen Tabitha Holce of Dallesport was crowned at the January meeting as well. Planning and producing the annual rodeo takes a tremendous amount of time and talent. Anyone interested in helping is certainly encouraged to lend a hand -- and is invited to attend the next meeting on April 2 at the school at 1 p.m.

The Glenwood Class of 2006 would like to extend a huge thank you to everyone who supported their crab feed and silent auction on Feb. 15. The event was a huge success for the class members who plan to go to Hawaii for their senior trip.

The Pioneer Memorial Community Church members held their annual congregational meeting on Jan. 29. Leonard Rolph was elected as a deacon while Terry Arnold was selected to serve as clerk. Pastor Sandy Strait, elders Nate Putnam and Howard Sinor, deacons Duane Gahimer and Earl Kuhnhuasen, deaconess Donna Montgomery, and co-treasurers Dave Wasgatt and Leonard Rolph will continue to serve in their capacities for the coming year.
