Congratulations go out to Amy Burgin. She is the proud mother of Shane Wesley Burgin. Shane was born on March 14, 2006, at Providence Hospital in Hood River, Ore. He weighed 7 pounds 9 ounces and was 21 inches long. Shane's maternal grandparents are Diane and Oop Burgin, Glenwood. His great-grandparents are Bobby and Tom Burns and Norma Nichols of Glenwood. Congratulations to all of you.
Bun and Anita Wellenbrock and family would like to thank our community and extended community for the in and out-of-town support at their benefit dinner, silent auction and Bingo on March 26. It was a great success, so thanks to everyone. It was greatly appreciated.
Our condolences go out to Gary Anderson and family on the loss of Gary's father, Charles Anderson, from Orange Vale, Calif. He died Mach 25, 2006. We are truly sorry.
There will be a rodeo meeting on April 2 at the Glenwood Rodeo Grounds at 1 p.m. All members are asked to attend. There will be discussion about cleanup day on April 23 and a potluck.
Tim Christiansen came back to Glenwood for a visit this last weekend. It was so nice to see him again.
The Glenwood classified staff would like to thank the certified staff for all its kindness and treats for the week of March 13-17. They would also like to thank the after-school program for the picture frames.
Glenwood Schools spring break is almost here. It starts April 3.
