The Klickitat County Health Department will offer flu shots at two mass flu shot clinics -- Nov. 1 and Nov. 2.
This is the only scheduled flu shot clinic for the Klickitat County Health Department.
The clinic on Nov. 1 will be held at the Goldendale High School gym from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The clinic on Nov. 2 will be held at the Pioneer Center in White Salmon from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Flu shots are given on a first come, first serve basis. No appointments are needed.
Flu shots are $20. Medicaid and Medicare can be billed. Bring proof of coverage.
These mass flu shot clinics are a part of Klickitat County's emergency preparedness plan. Hood River and Wasco/Sherman County Health Department's will also offer flu shots at mass clinics to their residents on Nov. 2.
Local health departments ask that the public come to these mass flu shot clinics. This will help staff better prepare and respond to possible future outbreaks of illness.
The peak flu season for our area is December through February. It is important to get your annual flu shot. The flu virus changes slightly each year and your body's protection from the flu declines over time. Your body develops protection two weeks after receiving the flu shot.
