Weather doesn't damper searching for eggs

The Easter bunny visited Glenwood Saturday morning, April 7, to hide eggs and greet children who attended the Women's Club Easter Egg Hunt. The weather didn't dampen the spirits of the many children and their parents who attended the annual event. Thank you to the Glenwood Women's Club for sponsoring the fun activity.

Fred Steinbach was honored by family and friends at an 80th birthday celebration on April 7. A wonderful feast, old-time videos and pictures and visiting were enjoyed by everyone who attended. Congratulations to Fred and best wishes for many more happy and healthy years. The community members look forward to enjoying Fred's stories (and excellent recall of historical events) for a long time to come!

The Glenwood Junior High Track Team will be hosting a track meet on our home field on Thursday, April 12, at 4. The Trout Lake Glenwood High School Track Team will be competing at the Portland Christian Invitational Meet on April 14 beginning at 11 a.m. Also on April 14, the TLG baseball team will be hosting Riverside Christian at Trout Lake's field at 11. Be sure to show your support of these young athletes by attending as many games and meets as you can.

Country/Gospel singer Charlie Walker will be entertaining at the Pioneer Memorial Community Church on Sunday, April 15, during the regular church service at 11 a.m. Everyone is invited to attend the service and to enjoy Mr. Walker's talents.

The Glenwood Rodeo Association will be holding a work day on Sunday, April 15, beginning at 10 a.m. A potluck dinner is planned for noon, followed by a short business meeting at 1, and then additional work on the grounds. Marlene Dewey will be coordinating the potluck, so if she doesn't contact you, please call her at 364-4146. Rodeo association members and 4-Hers are encouraged to bring tools to help with the planned work. Be sure to mark your shovels, rakes, pitchforks, etc. with your name. If you have questions regarding the work day, please contact Terry at 364-3371.

Hell Roaring and Bird and Frasier Irrigation will be holding their combined annual meeting on Monday, April 16, at 7 p.m. at the school. Election of Board of Directors, water assessment rates for 2007, and an update on the ditch damage are scheduled agenda items. All shareholders are encouraged to attend.

The Mt. Adams 4-H leaders will hold their monthly meeting at 6:30 at the school, followed by a Community 4-H meeting at 7.
