Trout Lake Fair starts tomorrow with the potluck social at Elk Meadows, at 5:30 p.m. Saturday's activities begin with the Fireman's Breakfast and continue through out the day at the Jonah Ministries venue. Do you have your parade entry ready?? Be a part of it and create wonderful memories. See your fair booklet for a list of events.

Our own Polly Bull is the National Women's Bowling Champion! She won that distinction at the Reno bowling event in June. Congratulations Polly!!

As reported last week, the annual Trout Lake Art Festival was a rousing success, with over 42 artists participating, over 2000 folks visiting, incredible music and a fabulous meal catered by the Lyle Hotel. Another feather in the Trout Lake "success cap," along with the Equine Endurance Ride, the Bike Tour, Saturday Market and our "world famous" Rummage Sale on Labor Day weekend. We have something for everyone and many wonderful volunteers that make these events happen.

On Aug. 25 there will be a Birthday Bash at the Country Inn, with music by Larkspur. If you've had a birthday in 2007, you're invited. There will be an $8 cover charge which benefits the Trout Lake EMTs. See you there for good dancing, music and fun.

Trout Lake Horizons project will soon have a community bulletin board in place, thanks to the craftsmanship of Pat Boileau. The bulletin board will be mounted on the porch of the Grange Hall, where it will be readily available to be read by everyone. Notices of events, rentals, for sale items, job needs, available labor, etc will be posted.

See you at the Fair! Maxine Bulick, news writer.
