Bank opens pool account

Donate at Riverview Community Bank

A newly created citizens' group has established a bank account for the purpose of saving the city's swimming pool.

An account known as the "Swimming Pool Fund" is now open at Riverview Community Bank in White Salmon. Funds deposited into the account will go directly to support the pool. Deposits to the account are tax-deductible.

Any person or organization wishing to contribute to support the pool can make donations directly at the bank. A record of contributors will be kept for purposes of recognizing donors; however, anonymous donations can also be accepted.

Members of the group, known as "Citizens for the Swimming Pool Committee," include Suzie Willey, Val Parish, Joan and Jack Barrett, Shelly Rawding, Tammi Beneventi, Margaret Walker, and City Council member Bob Landgren.

Approval for any pool expenditures will be prioritized by the committee and guided by White Salmon Public Works Director Mike Wellman before being brought to the White Salmon City Council for approval.

Citizens who want to offer input regarding the pool are encouraged to contact any committee member.
