Take part in informal reading

First title to be discussed on Jan. 16

The public is invited to take part in an informal monthly reading and discussion group for adults from January through May.

The winter/spring titles in the series will be discussed beginning on Tuesday, Jan. 16, at 7 p.m. in the White Salmon Valley Community Library's Sprint/Baker Gallery.

The January title will be Death of Celilo Falls by Katrine Barber.

Attendees will also be viewing the documentary Death of Celilo Falls and the Remaking of the Columbia.

Copies of the book are now available at the library's front desk for discussion group participants.

The monthly discussion group will continue at 6:00 p.m. (unless otherwise noted) on selected Tuesdays through May.

The remaining discussion group dates and titles will be: Feb. 6, A Travelogue from an Unruly Youth by D.C Jesse Brukhardt, the author will be present at the discussion, Feb. 13 at 7:00 p.m. Celilo, a discussion with author Katrine Barber; March 20, Death of Ivan Illych by Leo Tolstoy; April 17, Mountains beyond Mountains by Traci Kidder; and May 15, Dazzle of Day by Molly Gloss.

Join the group every month or drop in as your schedule allows! Booklists with discussion dates and titles are available at the library.
