GLENWOOD HOMEMAKERS

The junior and senior classes are going to put on a Crab Feed on Feb. 21. Ticket sales are going on now for $15 for crab dinner and $10 for a chef salad. Orders need to be in place and paid for by Feb. 7. There will also be a silent auction that night.

Don't forget homecoming is this Saturday against Yakama Tribal. Come out and support the kids. Admission is $5 for adults and $4 for students and senior citizens. Homecoming court will be announced during halftime of the boys varsity game.

The Glenwood community would like to extend heartfelt condolences to Suzie Wilken and her children Kaylene and Christophor and the rest of the family in the loss of husband and father Steve Wilken.

The Horizon talk circles will be starting on Jan. 31 at The Flying L Ranch. Then talks will be held on the following dates at Glenwood school: March 7, 14, 28 and April 7.

Pee Wee Basketball is in full swing. Last Saturday there was a tournament in Klickitat. K, 1 and 2 took second pool in the tournament. Two teams in the 3 and 4 grades The Golden Eaglettes and the Golden Eagles played off for first and second. The Golden Eaglettes took first and the Golden Eagles took second. Great job to all four teams. The peewees will be playing during half time of the varsity girls' game Saturday, so come out and watch them.

Taunie Shupe and the Pee Wee teams would like to give a huge thank you to Jim and Lonnie Dean also Jerry and Mary Dean for purchasing basketball hoops. They would also like to thank Jerry and Mary Dean for the uniforms. Also if it were not for the volunteers, this probably wouldn't have happened. So thank-you to Pat Bales, Tim Kuhnhausen, Jimmy Smith, Dave'y Lumley, Devin Dean and anyone else who helped who was not mentioned.

Taunie Shupe would also like to find some volunteers for the tournament here for Feb. 3. Needed are referees, time keepers, concessions helpers, etc. Contact Taunie Shupe at the school, 364-3438, if you would like to do any of these things.

Any news for the rest of the month, call Chris Kuhnhausen at 364-3627.
