Bonnie J. Holtmann, a resident of Ridgefield, died June 19, 2007. She was born Oct. 2, 1943, in St. Joseph, Mo. She and her family moved to White Salmon in 1954 where she attended Columbia High School.
She married her high school sweetheart, Kenneth L. Holtmann, in 1960. She enjoyed spending her free time bowling, playing Bunko and Bingo, watching Nascar racing and being a spectator for her son and grandchildren's many athletic and social events.
She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend to many. She was a rural mail carrier for the Vancouver Post Office for 27 years, and was a member of Memorial Lutheran Church in Vancouver.
Mrs. Holtmann was preceded in death by her father, Pat Wright; mother Bessie Wright; and brother Ronnie Wright. Survivors include her husband, Kenneth; son John Holtmann, Ridgefield; daughter Barbara Shook, Anaheim Calif.; brother Walter "Sonnie" Wright, Goldendale; grandchildren, for whom she was most proud of, McKenzie, Riley, Martin, Brittany and Andrew; many cousins; and dear and close friends. She enjoyed life to the fullest and will be greatly missed, but never forgotten.
A celebration of life service was held June 23, 2007, at 2 p.m. at the Memorial Lutheran Church in Vancouver.
