Report for Washington State Patrol



Approximately 1,000 gallons of oil spilled onto State Route 14 following a one-vehicle accident. The accident occurred on July 11, 2007, at approximately 12:21 p.m. at milepost 84.

According to the report, Stephen A. Poch, 56, Battle Ground, was driving a 1988 Kenworth pulling double trailers westbound on SR 14. The semi attempted to avoid a passenger car which was passing in the oncoming lane. The semi traveled off the roadway and lost a trailer. The trailer rolled off the westbound shoulder coming to rest on its side and losing the oil.

Poch was not injured in the accident.

The accident is still under investigation.
