Learn more about candidates when Soroptimists host forum

Event takes place on Oct. 9

Soroptimist International of Mt. Adams is hosting a Candidates' Night on Tuesday, Oct. 9, at the Pioneer Center in White Salmon.

The forum, which will focus on the contested races for the mayor and council positions for the City of White Salmon, is free and open to the public and will begin at 6:30 p.m.

All candidates running for political office for White Salmon positions and appearing on the General Election ballot have been invited.

Each candidate will have the opportunity to address the audience followed by a time for audience members to ask questions of the candidates.

The General Election is Tuesday, Nov. 6.

Soroptimist Kathleen Butcher will serve as the event's moderator, and Soroptimist will provide refreshments.

Soroptimist is an international volunteer service organization for business and professional women who work to improve the lives of women and girls, in local communities and throughout the world.
