Skyline Hospital gets award for breast health awareness

Grant comes from Susan G. Komen organization

A grant from the Susan G. Komen Organization of Oregon and Southwest Washington has been made to Skyline Hospital to increase breast health awareness in the Mid-Columbia Region.

Skyline Hospital is pleased to win this award from the Komen Organization to better publicize the need for breast cancer screening. While breast health awareness and screening scheduling has been done at the health fair for many years, this year there will be increased fanfare and focus at a special downtown event on Oct. 12 and during the Health Fair, and Oct. 12 and 13 at the Pioneer Center from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Annette Thurber of Artisan's Jewelry and Gallery is looking for breast cancer survivors to feature in her display window for the month of October. If you are a breast cancer survivor or know someone who is, please contact Debra Reed of the Skyline Foundation at (509) 637-0696 or Thurber at 493-1333 to be honored and included in special upcoming events!
