The White Salmon Valley Education Foundation's third funding cycle is about to begin. The WSVEF provides supplemental funds to be used for education enhancement in the White Salmon Valley Schools, and expects to award $20,000 in grants this cycle.
All educators and community members, with the support of the district's administrators, are eligible to apply. The application period deadline is Oct. 29. Applications are available online at www.wsvef.org/grants. Successful applicants will be announced by Dec. 19.
The foundation's Grant Review Committee scores all applications. The five-member committee is comprised of two teachers, two community members and one WSVEF board member.
Programs chosen will meet the WSVEF objectives of enriching school curriculum, providing real-world projects, supporting staff development, and creating education, business and community partnerships.
