American heritage music series continues

Enjoy Jimmie Rodgers

The public is invited to enjoy "Jimmie Rodgers, The Father of Country Music," in the White Salmon Valley Community Library's Sprint/Baker Gallery on Friday, April 25, at 7 p.m.

The program which is produced and narrated by local musician, Andre Lamoreaux, is the second in a four-part music and history series entitled "American Heritage Music."

The Jimmie Rodgers program will feature the music of the changing face of 'The Blues' and the beginning of country music.

Musicians will include: Andre Lamoreaux, tenor guitar and vocals; Roger Gadway, fiddle; Diane Gadway, mandolin; and Tom Lamoreaux, bass guitar and harmony.

Future progams in the series will be: "Hank Williams: Country to the Core," on Friday, May 30; and "From Blues to Country to Rock and roll," on Friday, June 20.

All programs are free and refreshments will be provided by the Friends of the Library.
