Park sounds of Latin, Salsa music

Second night of summer concerts

The second night of Embarq Families in the Park summer concert series is Thursday, Aug. 14.

Agua Meil will bring Latin and Salsa sound to the park. The band of nine, made up of players from around the world, will have the crowd dancing to its hot Latin beat. The band puts a funky spin on the Salsa classics, as well as their original recordings. It is one of the hottest bands in the Portland area and is expanding all across the Northwest.

The Aug. 14 concert starts with the Delta Kappa taco feed for families at 6 p.m. Taking the stage at 6:15 p.m. will be a short children's musical. Agua Meil will be on at 7 p.m.

Families in the Park is asking concert-goers to bring a food item or money to the concerts as a donation to the food bank FISH.

The concert is free.

Families in the Park is run by the Hood River County Community Education.
