Alpaca farmer publishes children's book

Available at the Book Peddler in White Salmon

Now available, an inspiring children's book about alpacas written by Rita Kruse White.

She and her husband Dale, own and operate Underwood Alpacas.

The tale is told through the eyes of an alpaca on the Underwood Alpaca Ranch upon her arrival there.

"Anik the Unique Alpaca" brings the story of discovering new friends and celebrating their shared uniqueness to life.

The charming illustrations, done by Naomi Parrot Halpern, a 2008 Columbia High School graduate, are set against photographs of the actual farm. The illustrations enchance the fanciful presentation of the book.

The book is available from the farm, at The Book Peddler in White Salmon, and at G Willikers Toy Shoppe and The Enchanted Alpaca in Hood River.

Underwood Alpacas welcomes visits, sells alpaca goods from the farm store, and markets fertilizer made from alpaca poop!
