Drive carefully, looking like Christmas

Glenwood News for Dec. 18

By the

Now it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!! Drive carefully, but enjoy our beautiful landscape!

For those of us who are guilty of procrastinating -- donations of non-perishable food are still being collected for the community food baskets. Donations may be dropped off at the school office or the church kitchen through Dec. 18.

The annual Christmas program will be held in the school gym on Dec. 18 at 7 p.m. Word is Santa will make an appearance following the program to hand out candy canes to the small children. Community members are invited to enjoy the evening of entertainment. The Glenwood Homemakers will provide hot cocoa and cookies after the program as well.

The Pioneer Memorial Community Church members have a couple of special Christmas events scheduled for next week. The PMCC members will be presenting a Christmas pageant at 7 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 21, at the church. Everyone is invited to attend this special program. Carolers are planning to serenade the community with Christmas songs on Tuesday, Dec. 23. They will gather at the church at 6 p.m., and welcome anyone who would like to participate. For questions about caroling, please contact Tina Jorgensen at 364-3598.
