Congratulations to the TLG girls basketball team on their qualification for State 1B competition at the Sun Dome in Yakima this week. The TLG girls (22-6 season) second place finish in the district tournament qualifed them for the trip to state. They will take on Colton in their first game Wednesday, Feb. 20. The state tournament is a double elimination format with 16 teams qualifying for the late season competition.

The last girls' basketball team from Glenwood to compete in a state tournament was during the 1989-1990 season, and they finished in 7th place. This will be a first time trip for the Trout Lake girls hoopsters. The TLG lineup includes Megan Anderson, Stephanie Anderson, Veronica Glenn, Heather Huffsmith, Amy Keithly, Dave'y Lumley, Anna Nakae, Mariah Smith, Kindra VanLaar, Liz Voght and Katie Yarnell. Roger Huffsmith is the head coach assisted by Bo Arnold.

Best wishes to the TLG girls in their State 1B Tournament!

The TLG boys' basketball team placed third in its season-ending District Tournament at Zillah last weekend. Congratulations to the boys' on their season as well.

The Glenwood Homemakers and their spouses enjoyed a wonderful evening at Herman and Jeanne Kuhnhausen's home Feb. 16. The occasion was the Homemakers' annual Sweethearts Valentine dinner. Everyone had a delicious meal and played some fun games after dinner. Thank you to the Kuhnhausens for hosting the evening.

The Glenwood Rodeo Association will meet in the school library on Sunday, Feb. 24. Election of officers is included in the agenda for the 1 p.m. meeting.

Last call for crab feed tickets! Word is that tickets will be available until the truck leaves for the coast. So, if you would still like to attend the crab feed at the school on Feb. 27, contact the school or a senior. Tickets for the crab feed and silent auction are $17 for the crab dinner or $7 for a chef salad.
