Glenwood News for Feb. 28

Congratulations to the TLG girls' basketball team on their outstanding season! The ladies took to the court for three games at the Washington State 1B tournament last week at the Sun Dome in Yakima. Colton handed the TLG girls a tough loss in their first game (64 to 30.) TLG came back and whipped Taholha soundly (60 to 36,) before being sent home with a heart breaking loss to Neah Bay at the buzzer (61 to 59.) We are proud of you TLG girls!

Billy and Alta Valdez's granddaughters, Courtney and Carley Frazier, also competed in the State 1B tournament last week. They played for Touchet, and placed third in the playoffs. Congratulations to the Frazier girls also!

The Mt. Adams Community 4-H Club members are selling fruit for their annual fund raising campaign. The kids are offering full and partial boxes of oranges, grapefruit, tangelos, Fuji apples, and Anjou pears. The paid orders need to be turned in by March 3, and fruit will be delivered on March 8. This is a great chance to purchase fresh fruit and to help out the 4-H club. If you would like to support the fruit sales and have not been contacted by a 4-H member, you can call Rachael Throop at 364-3306 or Verna Dean Dean at 364-4130 to place an order.
