Rotary, Soroptimists host Winter Gala

Winter dance includes live band, silent auction

The "Winter Gala" will be held on Saturday, Jan. 26, at 7:00 p.m. at the Best Western Hood River Inn.

The event, which is in its fourth year, is co-sponsored by Soroptimist International clubs of Mt. Adams and Hood River, and the Rotary Club of White Salmon/Bingen.

The "Winter Gala" is a dessert buffet, dance with a live band, silent auction, and a no-host bar. Attire is semi-formal/cocktail.

Tickets are $30 per couple or $18 per individual and can be obtained from Waucoma Bookstore or the Best Western Hood River Inn in Hood River, or Butterflies, Flowers and Gifts in downtown White Salmon.

Special room rate packages tied to this event are also available through the Best Western Hood River Inn.

"We are very excited to be teaming with the Hood River club and Rotary club of White Salmon/Bingen to host a fun winter event again. The funds raised will be divided and used by the three organizations to support our community service projects on both sides of the river. Soroptimist works to improve the lives of women and girls, in local communities and throughout the world, and Rotary provides humanitarian service and helps promote goodwill and peace in the world, so the funds raised will be used to support those goals and objectives," said Kathleen O'Connor-McNew, event coordinator and member of Soroptimist of Mt. Adams. "We invite people to join us for a good time and support these worthy causes."

Business owners from the Hood River, the Bingen/White Salmon communities, and beyond are joining with the co-sponsors by donating a wide array of auction items.
