Summer games for kids, teens

Festivities in the park

The White Salmon Valley Community Library, along with the Goldendale and Stevenson Community libraries, invites kids and teens ages 9-19 years old to enjoy a fun afternoon of outside summer games and a free barbeque at the White Salmon City Park on Saturday, July 26, from 1 to 3 p.m.

The festivities will include tug-of-war, water games, bug-eating contests, and much more. Prizes will be awarded.

Over 700 kids and teens have signed up for the library's summer reading program so far, but if you've missed your chance to earn prizes while you read, sign-ups for the program will be available at the summer games.

For more information about the games, the summer reading program, or any other library events, call 493-1132.
