The Glenwood community would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all the firefighters -- the DNR, the Tribe and the forest service -- for working so hard to get the fire contained and for keeping all of us safe.
There is going to be a vacation Bible School and building projects at the Glenwood Community Church starting July 28 through Aug. 1 for ages three years through eighth grade. Gary Wilderbuer's church will be joining the group. So, anybody who is interested, it starts at 9 a.m to noon each day.
Marcie and Bill Cooper have their three grandsons from Bend, Ore., here visiting -- Daniel, Damon and Niki. They are John Cooper's sons. Have fun boys.
We have two bridal showers coming up. A shower for Viki Miller will be held Aug. 3 at Dewey's residence. Arlee Woodward's shower will be at the Grange Hall on Aug. 4. Arlee will be married Aug. 9 at the Shady Nook in Glenwood. Viki will be married Sept. 6 at Chris and Harry Miller's residence. Congratulations to both of you girls.
Dustin Spies and Tami Groves were in town for a short visit with Darell Spies. Dustin is being tranferred to Alaska to work.
Doug Daniels is going to have a vistor from Finland soon. She was their exchange student for the 1985-86 school year. When I have more information I will put more in about her next week.
Glenwood Rodeo Association play day is this Saturday, July 26, at the rodeo grounds. Come and watch or participate and buy a hamburger or a hot dog. It starts at 10 a.m.
