Report for Washington State Patrol



One person was injured in a three-vehicle accident that occurred on State Route 97 at milepost .5, 10 miles south of Goldendale. The accident occurred on July 22, 2008, at 3 p.m.

According to the report, a 2008 Chrysler minivan driven by Jennifer J. Warner, 29, Yakima, was northbound on SR 97 and stopped in the roadway for a disabled vehicle. A 2002 Honda Civic driven by Susan K. Noel, 49, Yakima stopped behind the minivan. A 1999 Dodge pickup driven by Patrick J. Mahoney, 58, Redding, Calif., struck the rear of the Honda, which struck the rear of the minivan.

Noel suffered neck and back injury and was transported by aid to Klickitat Valley Hospital in Goldendale. Her Honda was totaled in the accident.

Neither Mahoney nor Warner were injured. The pickup had $6000 damage and the minivan suffered $500.

Mahoney was cited for negligent driving.

Four people were injured in a one-vehicle accident on SR 14 at milepost 114, 26 miles southeast of Goldendale. The accident occurred on July 27, 2008, at 7:14 p.m.

According to the report, Gonzalo Clemente, 34, was driving his 2000 Ford Escape westbound on SR 14. The vehicle crossed the centerline and eastbound lane. It went off the eastbound shoulder and collided with a rock wall.

Clemente suffered head and neck bruises and cuts and was transported to Mid Columbia Hospital.

Three children in the vehicle, ages 10, 8 and 5, all suffered cuts and bruises and were transported to Mid Columbia Hospital.

Clemente was cited for DUI and three counts of reckless endangerment.

Kieran L. Devanney, 22, Stevenson, suffered minor bruises in a one-vehicle accident. The accident occurred on SR 14 at milepost 63.6, 1 mile west of Bingen. It happened July 27, 2008, at 13:30 a.m.

According to the report, Devanney was driving his 1997 Ford pickup westbound. The vehicle traveled off the westbound shoulder and rolled twice, coming to rest blocking both lanes. The roadway was blocked for nearly two hours.

Devanney was cited for DUI.
