The Washington Dental Foundation SmileMobile, which travels the state offering dental examination and treatment to children who might not otherwise have access to dental care, will be in White Salmon.
It will be parked at the United Methodist Church on May 22-30. Screening examinations will be May 22 from 8:45 a.m. to 4 p.m. on May 27 from 12:45 to 4 p.m. Follow-up treatment appointments will be scheduled on a space available basis for the duration of the stay.
Children 15 and under with limited access to dental care can be scheduled by calling the White Salmon Health Department at 493-1558.
Medicaid and sliding scale fee is accepted as reimbursement for services.
The SmileMobile, a brightly painted 38-foot dental clinic on wheels, is hard to miss when it rolls into town.
It is staffed by a clinic manager, dentist and dental assistant, and teams of local volunteer dental professionals in each community.
The SmileMobile is sponsored by the Washington Dental Service in partnership with Children's Hospital and Regional Medical Center.
