It's fashion for Christmas Project

Annual event set for Nov. 14

The 12th annual Hood River County Christmas Project Fashion Show will be held Friday, Nov. 14, at the Best Western Hood River Inn Gorge Room

The show starts at 7 p.m. and doors open at 6. The fashion show is first, followed by Area 54 Dance party.

Cost is $15 per ticket available at participating merchants: Ananas Boutique, Doug's Sports, Enchanted Alpaca, Foils Salon & Day Spa, Frolik, Flow Yoga, 5th Element, Holiday Day Spa, Ikote Bead and design, JET designs, Lucy's Informal Flowers, Melika, Parts and Labour, Plenty, Pistil, RedFish Bluefish, Salon Visio, That's Swank, Zella Shoes and Treasures

The Christmas Project is an annual event to provide food and toy assistance during the holiday season to low-income families and seniors who live in Hood River County.

The Christmas project is available to Hood River County families meeting Food Stamp Program eligibility standards. All families must fill out an application. Registration periods are Nov. to Dec. 6.

The Christmas Project was originally started in 1923 by the Hood River Elks. Approximately 478 Hood River County families (2,011 men, women, and children) received food and toy baskets last year.
