Lyle/Wishram drops five-setter to Sunnyside Christian

At Klickitat 3, Trout Lake Glenwood 0:

The Vandals closed out the regular season Monday with a straight-sets victory over the Mustang Eagles, 25-11, 25-10, 25-16.

"The girls played solid again," said Vandals Coach Jaecee Hoctor. "They were aggressive digging balls and picking balls out of the net. They're getting scrappier every game."

Samantha Brewer paced the Klickitat offense with 11 kills; she also made five blocks. Zoe Lindner contributed with six kills and two service aces, and Kali Fargher had three kills and three assists.

Klickitat 3, at Sunnyside Christian 0:

Samantha Brewer had 10 kills and four blocks to lead the Vandals' sweep of the Knights last Thursday.

Zoe Lindner provided five kills and three aces, Kali Fargher had five assists and two kills, and Ashley Meeks passed for five assists.

Riverside Christian 3, at Lyle/Wishram 0:

The Cougars lost their regular-season finale to the Crusaders last Thursday, 25-1, 25-22, 25-8.

Lexi Becker led the Cougars with three kills and Brittany Price served two aces.

At La Salle 3, Lyle/Wishram 0:

The Lightning completed a perfect regular season with an Oct. 28 victory over the Cougars, by scores of 25-7, 25-13, 25-6.

Sunnyside Christian 3, at Lyle/Wishram 2:

The Cougars lost the Oct. 27 match to the Knights, 19-25, 8-25, 25-11, 25-15, 15-8.

Lexi Becker played a solid all-around match for the Cougars, finishing with nine aces, eight kills and one block. Cassie Bliss chipped in with five aces.
