Well, it is Thanksgiving time again. I hope everyone has family and friends to enjoy on Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is a great holiday. The smell of turkey cooking, the smell of the pies baking in the oven, freshly made rolls. Have I made you hungry yet? The laughter of young and old. The stories, recipes, etc., that we share. I am sure all of us have a lot to be thankful for. Please have a wonderful and safe holiday.
Happy 30th anniversary to Randy and Joann Roe. They were married Nov. 25.
The Glenwood Homemakers are proud to announce the 2008 scholarship recipients: Tim Kuhnhausen was awarded the senior scholarship, and Josie Masden and Hannah Page each received the continuing education scholarship.
The senior scholarship is supported by the Homemakers through fundraising efforts such as the Cowboy Breakfast served up during the Ketchum Kalf rodeo every Father's Day weekend. The continuing education scholarship is supported by donations from community members who specify their donation be dedicated to this fund.
Thanks to everyone who supported Homemaker activities this past year and, in so doing, helped these young members of our community reach for a bright future.
All good things have to come to an end sometime. In saying that, as of Jan. 1, 2009, Terry Arnold and I (Chris Kuhnhausen) are resigning as your Glenwood newswriters. We are hoping there is someone or an organization that wants to take the column over. If anyone is interested contact Terry or Chris, so that we can announce it in December. Terry and I would like to thank all our loyal readers.
