Campfire allowed on DNR land

Follow simple precautions

The Washington Department of Natural Resources, Klickitat District, has determined, due to the recent rain, campfires are authorized on DNR managed lands.

Campfires are allowed if the following precautions are followed: fire is placed on bare soil, is four feet or smaller in diameter and cleared to bare soil a minimum of four feet around the campfire, flame height is less then two feet. The fire must be extinguished after use. A shovel and water should be near by when a campfire is in use.

DNR Klickitat District managed forest lands are located north of Glenwood in south Yakima County, a small portion of Skamania County west of Willard as well as department managed lands within Klickitat County.
