Timberlands reopen to public

Longview says okay to enter forest lands

Longview Timberlands LLC property in Washington and Oregon lying east of I-5 has been re-opened to public recreational use with the exception of Longview lands in Chelan County.

Blake Rowe, president, said, "We very much appreciate the cooperation from the public during our short closure, and are pleased that significant rainfall has occurred allowing us to open our lands to recreational use."

Longview's timberlands re-opening in Oregon include: the Mid-Columbia, Clackamas, and Silver Falls Tree Farms; in Washington: the Skagit, Southwest, Pacific Cascades, and Mid-Columbia Tree Farms. The affected Longview lands in Oregon are located in Multnomah, Clackamas, Marion, Linn, Hood River and Wasco Counties; and in Washington lands located in Clark, Cowlitz, Skamania, Klickitat, Lewis, Pierce, King, Snohomish, Skagit, and Whatcom counties are being re-opened.
