Glenwood hosted a season-ending Pee Wee Basketball Tournament on Feb. 7. Preschool through fourth grader players made up the teams that competed from Glenwood, Klickitat and Wishram. Glenwood's preschool team was coached by Chris Henry and his players included Lane Becker, Kellen Henry, Alise Gimlin, Allison McFall and Willa McLaughlin. The Glenwood kindergarten/first grade team was made up of Derek Gimlin, Emily Hastings, Kaitlyn Masden, Liam McLaughlin, Lilly Molyneux, Nahaleigh Schuster, Carmen Guzman and Andrew McFall, and their coach was Sara McFall. JaeCee Hoctor coached Glenwood's second through fourth graders. Her team was made up of Kyle Dean, Andrew Dechand, Bailey Gimlin, Michael Jorgensen, Brittany McCoy, Colton and Kinley Troh. A special thank you to the coaches and Taunie Wilson for organizing the pee wee program in Glenwood -- it provides a wonderful opportunity for our future basketball stars!

The TLG basketball teams will compete in the opening round of district competition on Friday, Feb. 13, at Zillah. The TLG girls will begin the tournament at 3 p.m. and the TLG boys will play later in the evening. District contests will continue at 2 p.m. in Zillah on Saturday, with the concluding games at Goldendale High School on Tuesday, Feb. 17, at 6 p.m. Good luck to the TLG boys and girls basketball teams as they compete in the district tournament!

The Glenwood High School classes of 2010, 2011 and 2012 would like to thank everyone for their support of the crab feed and silent auction that was held Feb. 3. Proceeds from the annual event go toward each class' senior trip. Again, thank you to those who donated items for the silent auction; as well as to the parents who helped with the feed; and to those who bought dinner tickets and supported the auction.

Just a reminder that there will be no school on Monday, February 16 in observation of Presidents' Day. Also, school will dismiss on February 18 at noon.

The Mt. Adams Community 4-H club will meet on Wednesday, Feb. 18, in the multi-purpose room. The leaders will meet at 6:30 p.m. followed by the general membership meeting at 7. Packets for the annual fruit sales will be passed out and election of officers will be held. Be sure to attend this important meeting.
